Take off to Bali with Port Hedland International Airport

24 June 2015

Two lucky Hedland residents are in with a chance to win return flights to Bali compliments of Port Hedland International Airport.

Celebrating our status as an international gateway, Port Hedland International Airport have partnered with Helloworld Port Hedland, Virgin Australia and the North West Telegraph to give away return flights to Denpasar, Bali.

Town of Port Hedland Mayor Kelly Howlett said she was delighted that the Virgin Australia international route to Bali operated by Virgin Australia continues to remain popular with airport passengers and Port Hedland community members.

“It is fantastic that our community can take advantage of our proximity to Indonesia and avail of the direct flight to and from Denpasar for a family holiday or overseas getaway” said Mayor Howlett.

“Many people also use the flight route to catch connecting flights from Denpasar to other Asian, Middle Eastern and even European destinations.

“Helloworld Port Hedland, formally known as Harvey World Travel and Port Hedland’s only travel agency, have collectively over 20 years’ experience and specialise in travel to Bali, South-East Asia, Indo-China, USA, Fiji and Italy.

“Being able to fly directly to Denpasar, Bali’s capital city, from Port Hedland with Virgin Australia is a major advantage for our community members.

“Earlier this year Virgin Australia began operating its Boeing 737-800 aircraft on the Port Hedland - Bali route with the larger aircraft offering a greater capacity and accommodate 176 passengers and includes eight business class seats.

“The upgraded service has improved the customer experience and provides a more reliable service for Port Hedland passengers.

“By increasing the airport’s capacity for more frequent and other potential international destinations to residents of Port Hedland, gives us the opportunity to explore additional tourism markets and opens up North West Australia to visitors from overseas.

To be in with a chance to win return flights for two people, see this week’s edition of the North West Telegraph and visit porthedland.wa.gov.au.

Entries can be submitted online at www.porthedland.wa.gov.au or in person at Helloworld Port Hedland, the Civic Centre or North West Telegraph before Friday 10 July.
